A Staircase Bubble

*cough cough* this poem is very weird to come from a person like me.

but uhmm. hope you like it.. and SPOILER- I don’t like to give anyone a happy ending ๐Ÿ™‚

A spiral staircase,
And a steep slide.

A place to run,
A place to hide,
A place to be,
You and me side by side.

Spirited hearts in the bubble of,
A spiral staircase,
Not some blinding light,
Not some blinding darkness,
We were something just right.

Afternoon tokens,
Of each moment special,
But our ‘first one’- unparalleled.
Squeezed closer to let some kid climb,
Coy fingers tangled to serenity and sparks,
Locked eyes that shared a most marvelous secret,
And the next minute spoken about only in our journals…

Then comes the part,
I will never forget-
The steep slide.

When we had to let go,
Of our little bubble,
Of our big plans,
And the happy-ever-afters.

It was a long drop, my friend,
And I truly fell.
But, as most sad stories go,
You weren’t there to catch me.

So here I am today,
Giving cheers to “my”
Bubble in the staircase,
Cheers to you,
For popping it ever so lightly,
Cheers to my heart,
For having no regrets,
Cheers to
That steep slide,
And cheers to
That spiral staircase.

like i said.. WEIRD
