7. Take a walk until you find a tree you identify with, then write a poem using the tree as a metaphor for your life.
I see you, standing there,
A mystery to get me out,
Of my monotonous misery,
I see your leaves, yellow, green, red,
Like you don’t know who to be,
I sense your strong roots,
In your prime position,
Between the sky and earth,
You could have grown taller,
Far above my window.
Touch the moon, and the clouds,
But you seem stuck,
Not just on the ground,
But stuck as if a cage is
Keeping you away from the sky.
If not up, where will you grow?
Are you not sure what you want anymore?
Your trunk is splitting apart,
Will you branch out,
And settle for a future unchallenging?
Or do you have the strength,
To become who you dreamed to be?
I can’t help you with these answers,
I can’t help you through these nights,
I do not even know your name,
I don’t know who you are,
No more than I know who I am.
see ya tomorrow, and tbh, I really do not know the name of that treeπ
